Inspired, among other things, by an ice-blue Japanese silk blanket and a leather bag in the perfect shade of beige. The palette of 18 colors is now complete and designed so that each shade complements the others, allowing every color to flourish.

In the early 1930s, in the heart of Brösarp's rolling hills and surrounded by stately pine trees, the area's first care home was built. Two sturdy, adjoining stone houses, set at an angle, came to be called Talldungen. Eighty years later, Emma and David arrived here with three children, a couple of dogs, a collection of potted plants, and a longing to create a place for the good life in the countryside. A warm and generous meeting place for good food, flowing wine, genuine connections, and breathtaking nature.

Over time, life begins to wear on a house, no matter how solidly it is built. That’s why we design our homes with consideration for how they will function when they’ve lost their initial shine. Solid wood floors can be sanded down when they get worn, and real carpentry can be restored. The next generation shouldn’t need a new house when they move in. The longer the house stands, the better it is for the planet.

Intuitively, we all know the feeling of entering a room and immediately feeling at ease or stimulated. That interacting with elements of design—be it sensations of light, color, or texture—can trigger emotions and spark a dynamic interplay of neurotransmitters in our brains. This process can shape our feelings, thinking and behavior. There is more to design than meets the eye.
